I Am Not Yet Dead...

Posted by SuburbanGirl at 10:27 AM on May 27, 2007.

Yup, still alive.  My apologies for not updating in so long, but there's really not much going on in my life.  Everybody's a little older, and hopefully wiser as well.  Caden turned 2 in April and Jacen turned 5 at the beginning of this month.  My other babies are doing well also...Asha turned 2 in March, and Brody-James will be 1 in July.  Ryan the baby machine is about 16 weeks along now, and absolutely gorgeous.  She let her hair grow out and she's just starting to show a little.  Her skin is so perfect and glowing that she always looks like there's a lighting crew following her around (Hate her).   My dad is 80% sure she's having another girl, but he won't really be able to tell until she's at least 20 weeks.  I feel sorry for James if it is a girl...he's going to be the only guy in a house full of women.  Can you imagine what's going to happen when they start dating?

Scott finally made good on that trip to Rome he promised me for Christmas.  My husband, custom shoes, and one of the most beautiful countries in the world...it definitely didn't suck.  Other than that, I've just been catching up on movies and television.  Let me just say that The Lake House is the most boring movie I've ever seen.  I couldn't even finish it, it's horrible.  I also saw Pan's Labyrinth which is fabulous.  Beautifully shot, with an interesting story to back it up.  I'm dying to see a good horror, but no luck yet.  I'm seriously going to give up on those soon.  I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows of something.

I'm having much better luck with television.  I caught all of my important season finales...CSI, Law & Order: SVU, House, Grey's Anatomy, and the series finale of Gilmore Girls.  I was a little disappointed with Gilmore Girls...everything felt rushed and unresolved.  I felt like it should have come full circle and ended the same way it started...with that classic Gilmore Girls wit and fast paced delivery--but it really hasn't been the same since team Palladino left.  Amy Sherman-Palladino said she would love to do a 2 hour television movie to resolve everything, and finally reveal the elusive "last four words".  I really hope that happens.

CSI and House weren't bad, just standard fare.  SVU was excellent...I really loved that episode.  Everyone's job is on the line, so I'm really looking forward to next season.  Grey's Anatomy...where do I start?  I love Shonda Rhimes, I do.  I think the woman is absolutely brilliant, but it's very hard for me to trust her vision sometimes.  How the hell does George (aka The Hobbit) pull all these women who are way out of his league? He cheated on his hot ortho chick wife with his ex-supermodel best friend.  Granted Callie doesn't know he cheated on her, but still...I find it very hard to believe that she wants to have a baby with him.  She's inexplicably delusional all of a sudden.  She has to know something's up with him and Izzie...the wife always knows.  This semi-friendship between Callie and Cristina is interesting though.  Callie's going to need a new friend when Addison is gone.  On that note, I'll end this before it becomes a Grey's Anatomy rant.  I'm off to watch The Science of Sleep.  Gael Garcia Bernal...yum.

Oh yeah...and Sara Ramirez?  Still the hotness--and her royal hotness is working on an album over the summer.  I am beyond excited.
